Sneak Peak: Baby Bundle

My friends Nate and Sarah are having twin girls! These are the first kids in this group of friends, so we're all really excited for them. My friend Carrie and I are throwing them a co-ed shower next month. Of course, store-bought invitations would never do! Sarah came over this weekend to help me with them. I think they turned out really cute!
We printed all the invitation information on the inside, along with a cute poem about twins someone had given to her. The base is So Saffron cardstock, layered with a mat of Whisper White cardstock. The Pretty in Pink polka-dot paper is from the Sweet Pea paper pack from the Occasions Mini catalog this last spring. The So Saffron DSP is currently on the Last Chance list. The cute pink gingham ribbon can be purchased from the Clearance Rack! The darling images and saying are from the Baby Bundles stamp set. This set can be purchased on July 1, since it is a set from the new Idea Book and Catalog. All images were colored with Stampin' UP! markers.

It is difficult to tell from this photo, but the scallop circle is punched through the front of the card. The Rose Red scallop is actually glued to the inside of the card. The cute saying can be read whether the card is opened or closed.

What do you think of this baby shower invitation?

FTL 90

I decided to try a sketch challenge this weekend. I often use sketches from challenges, but it is usually long after the challenge window. I noticed this FTL 90 sketch at the Clean and Simple blog. As soon as I saw the sketch, I knew I wanted to use a pink and brown combination and the Circle Circus stamp set. Here is my take on the challenge:

And here is the sketch:
This card actually came together really quickly. That is often the case for me when I'm using a sketch. I need to remember that next time I'm frustrated with myself about losing my stampin' mojo!

Enjoy Every Moment

One of my former 4th grade students is going to Thailand for a humanitarian project. I am sending her a little donation to help with her trip. She is an amazing girl. I made this cute card to send her a note with my donation.

The base is Bermuda Bay cardstock #115317, and I used the corresponding Designer Series Paper in Bermuda Bay #115684 on top of Basic Black cardstock #102851 for the mat. I stamped "Enjoy" from the Enjoy Every Moment stamp set #113622 in Melon Mambo ink #115656 and "every moment" from the same set in Basic Black ink #101179. The flower is from the Greenhouse Garden stamp set #113824, which in on sale through the end of April as part of the 2-Step Stamping Promotion. I stamped the base of the flower in Pretty in Pink ink #101301, and the darker details using the Melon Mambo ink again. I popped the flower using a Stampin' Dimensional #104430 and used the Scallop Trim Border Punch along the bottom. This punch was available during sale-a-bration, but it will be for sale again in the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog that will be released July 1.
