A Flower Bouquet Made to Last

One of my aunts had surgery this past week. She was released from the hospital today, so I wanted to make her something pretty to enjoy while she recovers. I love flowers, but I wanted something that would last longer. I decided to make her a flower bouquet using my Flower Folds die #115970 and my Big Shot machine #113439. This project came together in about 30 minutes! It was so quick! I used kabob skewers as my stems. I had originally pictured putting the bouquet in the Fancy Favor, but I didn't have anything strong enough to hold it up. I think a piece of florist's foam would definitely do the trick!

For the card, I began with a Cameo Coral cardstock #100475 base and layered it with Designer series Paper in So Saffron #112152. The image is from Flower Fancy #111578 stamped in Chocolate Chip for the outline. I colored the stamp using Stampin' UP! Marvelous Markers #105541 in Cameo Coral #100074, So Saffron #105114, and Mellow Moss #100038. I used 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon in Mellow Moss #109033. The sentiment is from the Kind & Caring Thoughts Hostess Set #115324. I punched the sentiment using the Word Window Punch #105090 and layered it on the Modern Label Punch #116630.

As always, I love reading your comments!
