June Stamp Camp

I had my first meeting with my new Stamp Camp group this past Thursday. What a fun group! I'm excited to spend time with these guys (yes, we have two guys in our group!) and gals every month! I am so fortunate to be part of an organization which lets me do something I love and meet incredible people while I do it!

For our June Camp, we made 4 projects: a Father's Day card, a mulit-use card, and a card and treat box set using the Big Shot.

I love using the Big Shot. It took me awhile before I finally broke down and bought it, but now I use it almost every time I'm doing some crafting! It cuts down on my prep time and adds beautiful details. The Matchbox die holds two Ghiradelli chocolate squares, perfectly! The Big Shot was used on the card with the Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder. Both projects used Rose Red cardstock. The card has an image from the Oval All stamp set in Basic Black colored with a Rose Red marker. The box used Rose Red DSP, which is available right now on the Clearance Rack for $3.99! We wrapped the boxes in Whisper White Satin Ribbon and Rose Red Grosgrain Ribbon. The flower was made by punching 8 layers of vellum with the Scallop Circle Punch, crumbling them up, then sponging the sides with Rose Red ink.The details for this card using items from the Summer Mini Catalog can be viewed at this post.

With Father's Day just under a week away, of course we had to make a Father's Day card! We used the Holiday Blitz stamp set. This set is only available until the end of this month. It has a great array of stamps - I think it is one for everyone's collection! We layered Night of Navy cardstock with Bermuda Bay DSP and stamped the ties in matching colors. We punched out "Thank You" with the Designer Label punch and the Horizontal Slot Punch (only available until the end of this month) and ran a strip of Night of Navy Grosgrain Ribbon through the slots.

I forgot to take pictures while they were working on their projects, and remembered after almost everyone finished. Above is a picture of Kathy and Pam doing some shopping. Kathy was a guest of Pam's, and I hope she'll join us more in the future.

Joe is determined to find a chicken stamp he likes!Gina and Allison are getting their Wish Lists in order for upcoming months!

Alex showing off how he changed up the cards to suit his needs. I love seeing what ideas he comes up with. The card on the left shows the alternative side to one of the papers in the Island Oasis DSP from the Summer Mini. I love those little palm trees! I think that is one of my favorite paper packs we're selling right now. All the patterns are so cheerful and fun!
